“AN EFFORT TO SAVE AN UNBORN FEMALE CHILD”
India is the only country in the whole world where social evils like women infanticide, dowry etc are being scattered. This happens in such a country where we worship women as a symbol of power. This difference cannot be seen in any other country.
It is really shameful for our country that on one hand we are worshiping women as Goddesses and on the other we are committing a crime like female feticide.
To stop the evil practice of female feticide prevailing in the society our Suryoday Trust under the guidance of P.P. Shri Bhaiyyu Ji Maharaj started a campaign on 20th September 2006 in Indore to ban female feticide. Under this scheme, the trust is making an effort to root out this social evil.
Our trust has organized various seminars for women upliftment and empowerment on 16 February 2007 in Akola district and in Khamgaon at Maharashtra. For women empowerment our trust has started women self-confidence courses at Kabir Khedi Village, Indore where 25 women above the age of 15 years are getting educated and also various training on handicraft arts are imparted to them.
Lectures on dowry, child marriage, domestic violence and related issues are dealt with and people are updated about their legal rights for the same. Seminars, documentary films are shown and exhibition of paintings done by school children are also exposed to generate awareness among the growing generation and the masses.
In these Programmes women take an oath not to participate or support female feticide and infanticide. The organization of spiritual lectures forms part of the scheme too.
The trust has so far taken a forefront in 13 model villages and has taken a pledge for a female feticide free village.
For further information and feedback about this project a complete profile is available at our main branch in India and at Hogar Suryoday in Spain.

“A HEALTHY MIND CAN ONLY RESIDE IN A HEALTHY BODY”
Any developing nation needs strong and healthy human power. But if it is weakened due to malnutrition, the development of our progress slows down. We are among the major seven food producing countries and yet our country has to face problems of malnutrition.
We need to generate our human feeling so that we all should come together to control scarcity of food and assure ourselves that every human should get food twice a day.
India is a large country with people of different cast and communities. Many people are forced to live in poverty and have to struggle to earn their daily meals. Under this scheme, Suryoday family is trying to free the human population from the clutches of undernourishment and malnutrition in the drought prone and other areas by distributing nutritious food and necessary medicines.
Even today there are some areas where people are suffering from malnutrition. Some states like Bihar, Rajesthan, Maharashtra, Orissa and some other states are facing the same situation. This condition is due to natural and man-made disasters. To develop a healthy nation we need to take a forefront to stop this evil problem so that our country should move towards strong developments.
Nearly 40 per cent of the population lives below the poverty line. They are not able to afford even one square meal a day. Due to lack of proper nourishment, incidents of malnutrition were reported from several areas in Rajasthan. The Suryoday Parivar under the Swast Arya Kuposhan Unmoolan Yojna (Anaemia Free India Mission 2002) programme adopted 26 famine stricken villages in drought-affected areas in Rajesthan for six months, to provide nutritious food supplements to the aged, women and children in the year 2002.
For a period of six months, the Suryoday Parivar provided a wholesome meal with the required minerals and vitamins to those suffering from malnutrition. The results were encouraging as the patients responded well to the diet and the programme.
To run this scheme the Trust generates the necessary nutritious food by gathering help from the Villages in the form of grain according to their capacity and will. After processing it and transforming it into nutritious food packets it is distributed to the area where there are cases of malnutrition. These packets are packed with soyamix atta, soya biscuits, sattu etc.
After completing this mission successfully in Rajesthan and Madhya Pradesh, this trust has taken a forefront in making the Melghat region completely free from malnutrition.
Till now, under this scheme 8.265 undernourished people from 26 drought prone villages of Rajasthan were given 2 meals a day for 6 months. In continuation with the Anemia Free India Mission programme, around 1.218 children in Indore district and 10 villages in the tribal area of Melghat in Maharashtra have been provided with two meals a day.
Recently the Trust has adopted 10 tribal villages of hilly and forest areas of Melghat. Here, the under nourished will be provided with 2 meals a day, medical aid and mobile ambulances will be available 24 hours for these villages. |

India is a country, which has seen a very sharp increase in the number of AIDS cases, and there are a lot of people who suffer from this deadly disease in the country. One of the most saddening aspects of AIDS in India is in fact that the disease is rapidly affecting a lot of children, and there is not much relief and aid machinery in India through which the rehabilitation and recuperation of these children can be ensured.
One of the most pathetic aspects of AIDS in India is that the victims face complete social stigmatization and are ex-communicated from society.
Bhaiyyu Dada is completely opposed to this social stigmatization and this injustice, which is meted out by society towards these unfortunate individuals. In order to redress this particular wrong, he has started the Suryoday Aids Foundation. The Suryoday Aids Foundation will primarily work for the betterment of AIDS victims and will champion the spread of information and knowledge related to AIDS awareness among various other things.
The Suryoday Aids Foundation and Bhaiyyu Dada have already established one Balakashram in Pune and one in Akola not only to provide these children who are victims of HIV & AIDS with shelter, but also to nourish them, give them all the love they deserve, provide them with their educational rights, human rights and give them access to latest medication.
If you require any further information about the Suryoday Aids Foundation, you may contact us at Hogar Suryoday in Spain where we will provide you with a complete portfolio on SAF and its feedback.
These children are fighting for their ‘Identity’. Lets join hands and make this crusade successful.
