India is said to be a country of villages and seventy percent of the Indian population lives in villages. Thus the complete development of India is impossible if the development of villages is ignored. The most common occupation in villages in India is agriculture and agriculture contributes a significant chunk of the national income. However agriculture in villages in India is still carried on using primitive techniques and thus the annual yield and the optimum agricultural productivity is not ensured through these primitive techniques. Modernization of agriculture in rural India is of outmost importance and to realize this goal the Suryoday Trust and Param Pujnya Gurudev Ji have conceptualized the idea of establishing a top notch agricultural school which will provide information and training in the latest techniques in agriculture and its related fields.
Param Pujnya Gurudev Ji has titled this ambitious school as the Suryoday International School of Agriculture. One of the main objectives that the Suryoday International School of Agriculture will pursue is to spread the latest technical know how of agriculture. This school will provide training in many different domains connected with agriculture such as crop optimization, improved dairy techniques, and mechanized forms of agriculture as well as many other aspects.
